Professor Antonia Moropoulou of the National Technical University of Athens recently delivered two lectures on the historic restoration of the Holy Sepulchre located inside the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWhen we opened the Holy Sepulchre, my colleagues and I felt an energy being released. The findings within the masonry fully preserved their historical authenticity,\u201d she said at an event<\/a> hosted by the Municipality of Palaio Faliro, a southern suburb of Athens, and organised under the aegis of the Metropolis of Nea Smyrni.<\/p>\n

The expert coordinated the interdisciplinary team that restored the Holy Sepulchre between 2016 and 2017.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Holy Sepulchre is not only a place of worship, but also a place of research and innovation,\u201d she underlined.<\/p>\n

While in Piraeus<\/a> at the end of last month, Prof. Antonia Moropoulou, also to speak about the restoration of the Holy Sepulchre, received a distinction from the Metropolis of Piraeus.<\/p>\n
