Students from the Faculty of Law at the University of Trento visited<\/a> the Romanian Orthodox Parish \u201cSaint Mark the Evangelist\u201d in the city on Monday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the Romanian Orthodox Diocese of Italy, third- and fourth-year law students attended the visit as part of a Comparative Ecclesiastical Law course.<\/p>\n

Parish priest Ioan Lup\u0103\u0219teanu presented the church and explained the role the parish plays for the Romanian diaspora in the area.<\/p>\n

Fr George Grigori\u021b\u0103, a patriarchal adviser, spoke to the students about Orthodoxy, focusing on the history and structure of the Romanian Orthodox Church.<\/p>\n

The future jurists learned how the norms of the Orthodox Church interact with national identity and the international legal framework.<\/p>\n

In the second part of the meeting, students\u2014accompanied by Francesca Oliosi, professor of Ecclesiastical Law at the University of Trento\u2014took part in a question-and-answer session on topics including the specifics of Orthodox canonical theology, the Orthodox model of Church\u2013State relations in Europe, and the legal challenges faced by religious minorities.<\/p>\n
