Numerous faithful gathered<\/a> for the Feast of the Resurrection at the \u201cSaint John Jacob the New Chozebite\u201d Church in Chisinau, where the service was officiated by Metropolitan Petru of Bessarabia.<\/strong><\/p>\n

At midnight, the Holy Fire was distributed, followed by a procession around the church and the solemn proclamation of the Resurrection.<\/p>\n

During the service, the Easter pastoral letter<\/a> was read, in which Metropolitan Petru highlighted the importance of unity within the family and in the life of the Church community, as well as the need to strengthen bonds between generations.<\/p>\n

The event took place within the broader framework of initiatives organised by the Metropolis of Bessarabia, focused on family life and community strengthening, in the context of the Solemn Year 2026 dedicated to the pastoral care of the family and the commemoration of holy women.<\/p>\n

At the end of the service, Archpriest Alexei Semionov was awarded the \u201cCentennial Cross\u201d in recognition of his pastoral and missionary activity.<\/p>\n
