The Monumentum Association in the Republic of Moldova, in partnership with the R\u00e2\u0219cani City Hall, has launched the construction of the country\u2019s first national mausoleum dedicated to heroes who fell in the First World War<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The monument will take the form of an obelisk crowned with a cross, standing nearly eight metres high and set on a platform of around 70 square metres. Its sides will bear the names of soldiers from northern Moldova who died on the battlefield, as well as priests who were deported to Siberia.<\/p>\n

The initiative aims to honour the memory of the fallen and to preserve the meaning of their sacrifice, creating a site that will serve as a place of pilgrimage and patriotic education for future generations.<\/p>\n

According to organisers, the inauguration of the mausoleum is scheduled for November 11, 2028, marking 110 years since the end of the First World War.<\/p>\n

To support the project, organisers have launched a fundraising campaign, inviting all those who wish to contribute<\/a> to the construction of this monument of national significance to take part.<\/p>\n
