{"id":564804,"date":"2026-04-01T12:26:13","date_gmt":"2026-04-01T09:26:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/basilica.ro\/?p=564804"},"modified":"2026-04-01T12:26:13","modified_gmt":"2026-04-01T09:26:13","slug":"bishop-visarion-green-week-school-nature-gods-gift","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/basilica.ro\/en\/bishop-visarion-green-week-school-nature-gods-gift\/","title":{"rendered":"Romanian Bishop says nature is God\u2019s gift during \u2018Green Week\u2019 visit to professional school"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>His Grace Bishop Visarion of Tulcea took part in \u201cGreen Week\u201d activities at the <a href=\"https:\/\/scoalamahmudia.ro\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cVasile Bacalu\u201d Professional School<\/a> in Mahmudia, where he explained to pupils that nature is a gift from God to humanity.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The hierarch told the children that human beings bear responsibility for the environment, as reflected in the Church&#8217;s teaching and the lives of the saints.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI presented to them evidence from both the Old and New Testaments regarding the biblical commandment to protect nature, because nature is truly a gift that God has given to mankind.
