{"id":563617,"date":"2026-03-24T14:30:33","date_gmt":"2026-03-24T12:30:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/basilica.ro\/?p=563617"},"modified":"2026-03-24T14:30:33","modified_gmt":"2026-03-24T12:30:33","slug":"romanian-patriarch-daniel-trisagion-patriarch-ilia-ii","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/basilica.ro\/en\/romanian-patriarch-daniel-trisagion-patriarch-ilia-ii\/","title":{"rendered":"Patriarch Daniel holds Trisagion for Georgian Patriarch Ilia II on day of funeral"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel of the Romanian Orthodox Church officiated a Trisagion service on Sunday at the Chapel of the Great Martyr George within the Patriarchal Residence in Bucharest, in memory of <a href=\"https:\/\/basilica.ro\/en\/tag\/patriarch-ilia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Patriarch Ilia II of Georgia<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Patriarch of Romania offered prayers for the repose of the soul of the Primate of the Georgian Orthodox Church, whose <a href=\"https:\/\/1tv.ge\/lang\/en\/news\/funeral-ceremony-of-ilia-ii-underway-at-holy-trinity-cathedral-photo-video\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">funeral<\/a> took place the same day in Tbilisi.
