Archimandrite Hrisostom Ciuciu of Putna Monastery addressed soldiers during a lecture titled \u201cThe Mystery of Confession and the Divine Liturgy for Authentic Orthodox Living\u201d, held on Tuesday at the headquarters of the Romanian Land Forces Staff<\/a> in Bucharest.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Opening his lecture, Fr Hrisostom Ciuciu highlighted the closeness between the military and monastic vocations, underlining their shared dimension of service and sacrifice for others.<\/p>\n

\u201cA soldier, like a monk, is a guardian of the hearts of others,\u201d the archimandrite said, noting that both callings require responsibility, discipline and dedication in the service of one\u2019s fellow human beings.<\/p>\n

The lecture was followed by an open dialogue with those present, during which Archimandrite Hrisostom Ciuciu answered questions from participants.<\/p>\n

At the end of the meeting, in appreciation for his message and presence, the Chief of the Land Forces Staff, Lieutenant General Ciprian Marin, presented the archimandrite with a scale model of the architectural ensemble created by Constantin Br\u00e2ncu\u0219i<\/a>, displayed in T\u00e2rgu Jiu.<\/p>\n

The Romanian Land Forces have concluded a cooperation protocol<\/a> with Putna Monastery in Suceava County, under which religious and cultural activities are organised, including the military parade held on the feast of Saint Stephen the Great at Putna Monastery<\/a> and the celebration of memorial services for fallen heroes.<\/p>\n
