Clergy and lay representatives of the Romanian Orthodox Diocese of Australia and New Zealand met on Saturday at the diocesan centre in Melbourne\u2014at the Life-giving Spring Monastery\u2014to review the diocese\u2019s activity.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The meeting was preceded by a Te Deum service marking the anniversary of the Union of the Romanian Principalities<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Diocesan Assembly was chaired by Bishop Mihail of Australia and New Zealand. During the session, participants presented reports on the diocese\u2019s administrative, pastoral, and missionary work, as well as its achievements throughout 2025.<\/p>\n

The Assembly continued the following day with the Divine Liturgy, celebrated by Bishop Mihail together with the clergy in attendance.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe two-day gathering provided an opportunity for dialogue and shared reflection on the challenges and prospects of the mission of the Romanian Orthodox Church in Australia and New Zealand, reaffirming the unity of clergy and faithful in serving the faith and Romanian identity in this part of the world,\u201d the diocese reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The meeting also featured theological presentations and papers related to the themes of the 2026 commemorative and solemn year<\/a>.<\/p>\n
