On the occasion of Romanian Bible Day, more than 7,500 young people from Suceava County read the entire Holy Scripture<\/a> as part of a project organised by the County School Inspectorate and the Archdiocese of Suceava and R\u0103d\u0103u\u021bi.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The reading groups from Suceava were joined by others from Bucharest and the counties of Bac\u0103u, Bra\u0219ov, Buz\u0103u, Gala\u021bi, Maramure\u0219, Satu Mare, and Vaslui, as well as participants from Portugal and the Republic of Moldova.<\/p>\n

The project involved reading the entire Bible in one hour, with each group assigned several chapters based on age criteria.<\/p>\n

A total of 361 reading groups within the Archdiocese of Suceava and R\u0103d\u0103u\u021bi covered all the books of the Old and New Testaments, while the remaining 20 groups read passages from the Holy Gospels.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is a multidimensional project, with multiple informational, formative, and transformative dimensions. From an educational perspective, we aim to strengthen principles of critical and reflective thinking through the reading of such beautiful and complex texts as the biblical ones,\u201d said Professor Daniela Ceredeev, the project coordinator and school inspector for religious education.<\/p>\n

Bible Day is celebrated annually on November 13, having been instituted by the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church in 2006.<\/p>\n
