These are dedicated to the <a href=\"https:\/\/patriarhia.ro\/centenarul-patriarhiei-romane\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Centennial of the Romanian Patriarchate<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The obverse of the coins features a depiction of the <a href=\"https:\/\/catedrala-nationala.ro\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">National Cathedral<\/a>. It includes the inscriptions \u201cROMANIA\u201d and \u201cCATEDRALA NA\u021aIONAL\u0102\u201d, the year of issue \u2013 2025, the Romanian coat of arms, and the face value: 500 lei for the gold coin, 10 lei for the silver coin, and 1 leu for the copper-tombac coin.<\/p>\n<p>The reverse side displays the Patriarchal Palace, headquarters of the Romanian Patriarchate, accompanied by the inscription \u201cPATRIARHIA ROM\u00c2N\u0102.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The gold and silver coins are presented in special brochures. They are accompanied by certificates of authenticity in Romanian, English, and French. The copper-tombac coin is delivered in presentation leaflets within cardboard cases.<\/p>\n<p>The maximum mintage is 1,000 pieces for the gold coin and 5,000 pieces each for the silver and copper-tombac coins. Prices are set at 23,000 lei (gold), 630 lei (silver), and 250 lei (copper-tombac).<\/p>\n<p>All three Romanian Patriarchate Centennial commemorative coins are legal tender in Romania. They can be purchased through the regional branches of the National Bank of Romania.<\/p>\n<h2>2025: A Solemn Year<\/h2>\n<p>This year, the Romanian Orthodox Church celebrates <a href=\"https:\/\/basilica.ro\/en\/tag\/centennial-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">100 years<\/a> since its elevation to the rank of Patriarchate and 140 years of autocephaly.
