{"id":538901,"date":"2025-08-28T11:30:41","date_gmt":"2025-08-28T08:30:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/basilica.ro\/?p=538901"},"modified":"2025-08-28T11:30:41","modified_gmt":"2025-08-28T08:30:41","slug":"albania-christ-statue-albanian-alps","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/basilica.ro\/en\/albania-christ-statue-albanian-alps\/","title":{"rendered":"Albania inaugurates first monumental statue of Christ in Albanian Alps"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Albania has unveiled its first monumental statue of Jesus Christ, inaugurated recently at one of the most scenic points of the Albanian Alps, in the Nikaj-M\u00ebrtur Natural Park in the Tropoj\u00eb region.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The statue depicts Christ with outstretched arms, reminiscent of the famous \u201cChrist the Redeemer\u201d statue in Rio de Janeiro, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/joq-albania.com\/artikull\/1297578.html\">JOQ Albania<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The inauguration ceremony was attended by religious leaders, locals, and numerous guests from Albania, Kosovo, and the Albanian diaspora.
