The Local Synods of the Metropolis of Moldavia and Bukovina and the Metropolis of Bessarabia convened jointly on Thursday in Ia\u0219i, Romania. During the session, the hierarchs approved proposals for the canonization of five women recognized for their saintly lives, originating from both banks of the Prut River.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Synod of the Metropolis of Moldavia and Bukovina gathered under the chairmanship of Metropolitan Teofan. Attendees included Archbishop Calinic of Suceava and R\u0103d\u0103u\u021bi, Archbishop Ioachim of Roman and Bac\u0103u, Bishop Ignatie of Hu\u0219i, and the assistant bishops Nichifor of Boto\u0219ani and Damaschin of Dorna.<\/p>\n
