The event commemorated 70 years since George Enescu\u2019s passing.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A group of priests led the blessing ceremony, which was headed by Archimandrite Hrisostom R\u0103d\u0103\u0219anu, Advisor for the Education Department of the Archdiocese of Ia\u0219i.<\/p>\n<p>The event was attended by Valeriu Iftime, President of the Boto\u0219ani County Council; Aurel Melniciuc, Director of the Boto\u0219ani County Museum; D\u0103nu\u021b Hu\u021bu, Director of the Boto\u0219ani County Directorate for Culture; and representatives of local authorities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe role of museums is to preserve cultural identity and pass it on to future generations. We renovated this house by accessing projects and European funds, as well as with the contribution of the County Council. We are doing the same with other museums because it is our duty to transmit our cultural heritage,\u201d said Aurel Melniciuc, Director of the Boto\u0219ani County Museum, Agerpres <a href=\"https:\/\/agerpres.ro\/cultura-media\/2025\/05\/04\/botosani-casa-memoriala-george-enescu-din-liveni-resfintita-la-70-de-ani-de-la-moartea-marelui-muzic--1445524\">reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGod has blessed us with great personalities; if we don\u2019t properly honour them, we will lose much.
