\u201cAs we proclaim the Resurrection of the Lord in these days, we ought to reflect with understanding upon the blessings revealed to us in the Resurrection Hymn,\u201d wrote Metropolitan Nicolae of the Romanian Orthodox Metropolis of the Americas in his Easter Pastoral Letter.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cLet us live as those who have been freed from death and from the bonds of Hades, as those who already live, through Baptism, another life\u2014the eternal one.\u201d<\/p>\n

His Eminence recalled that the world continues to be troubled by violence and war.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn such a world, the Christian must not be like the world\u2014troubled\u2014but rather a bringer of peace and understanding, for he already lives, in the Church, eternity. For the world passes away, and the lust thereof; but he who does the will of God abides forever (1 John 2:17),\u201d noted Metropolitan Nicolae.<\/p>\n

Gratitude on the Romanian Patriarchate’s Centennial<\/h2>\n

\u201cIn this year of the Centennial of the Romanian Patriarchate, it is fitting that we give thanks to the Risen Lord for all the blessings poured out upon the faithful Romanian people everywhere, upon the Romanian Orthodox Church, and that we show gratitude to our forebears who fulfilled this great project of our Nation and our Church,\u201d His Eminence underlined.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd together with all the children of our Church\u2014whether Romanian by birth or adopted spiritually into our Metropolis\u2014let us share, with radiant faces and hearts full of joy, the hope of our resurrection with Christ!\u201d<\/p>\n

Metropolitan Nicolae concluded his message to the faithful with heartfelt wishes for a blessed and joyful Pascha.<\/p>\n
