Drawing inspiration from the angelic hymn at the Nativity of the Lord\u2014<em>&#8220;Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace&#8221;<\/em>\u2014the Archbishop highlighted that Christ&#8217;s Nativity marks the beginning of humanity&#8217;s reconciliation with God and with one another.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">A World Confronted by Evil<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">His Beatitude Archbishop Ieronymos referred to humanity&#8217;s suffering caused by conflicts, injustices, and indifference:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;We witness with sorrow the bloodshed in various parts of the world, the unbearable calamity. Moreover, we experience evil in its everyday dimension: loneliness, indifference toward our fellow human beings, sadness, and a lack of meaning. The question sometimes becomes a cry: Why does evil exist in the world?&#8221;<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">He emphasized that the message of Christmas must serve as a call to action:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;We must take action. We are called to be pioneers in every effort for peace, in social initiatives, in every noble human intention, in every act of charity. In the person of Christ, humanity becomes the recipient of an infinite gift.<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<h3><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">A Call to Life in Christ<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Archbishop Ieronymos underlined that true peace begins with humanity&#8217;s reconciliation with God:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;Humanity can now exist free from selfishness, self-love, and aggressiveness. The path to reconciliation with our fellow human beings is open. In this perspective, the vision of global peace can be seen as the great and long-awaited fruit of Christmas<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.&#8221;<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">He stressed the importance of prayer and spiritual life as the foundation of our actions:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;The battle against evil in the world requires us to live according to the way of Christ.&#8221;<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<h3><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">A Call for Solidarity and Prayer<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">In conclusion, Archbishop Ieronymos urged the faithful to unite in prayer and live their lives guided by the Holy Spirit:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;True peace flows from the Cave of Bethlehem.
