The Diaconia Social Mission of the Metropolis of Bessarabia was named<\/a> the organization with the best volunteer management at the 2024 NGO Gala.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The awards ceremony took place on December 4 in Chi\u0219in\u0103u as part of the NGO Forum “Civil Society for European Integration,” organized by the NGO Council.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis recognition is due to the involvement of over 1,000 motivated volunteers, particularly from Young Diaconia Chi\u0219in\u0103u, in the Easter Campaign \u2018Table of Joy.\u2019<\/em> In 2024, their efforts brought joy and support to thousands of people in need. Over its 15 editions, the \u2018Table of Joy\u2019<\/em> has become a symbol of generosity and social solidarity,\u201d stated the Diaconia Mission on its website.<\/p>\n

Recognizing Excellence in Civil Society<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The purpose of the NGO Gala<\/a> was to honour the achievements of non-governmental organizations and to highlight projects or initiatives carried out in 2024 based on their results, impact, innovation, and sustainability.<\/p>\n

Awards were also presented in five other categories, recognizing excellence in various fields of activity.<\/p>\n

The National NGO Council of the Republic of Moldova<\/a> aims to create a favourable framework for the sustainable development of organizations by involving them in discussions, drafting, and monitoring legislation and public policies that impact non-governmental activities.<\/p>\n

About Diaconia Social Mission<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Diaconia Social Mission is the social arm of the Metropolis of Bessarabia, operating throughout the Republic of Moldova since 2001. It is part of the \u201cFilantropia\u201d Federation<\/a> of the Romanian Patriarchate, promoting charitable work and social solidarity.<\/p>\n
