Last week, His Eminence Metropolitan Irineu of Oltenia chaired a meeting<\/a> with media representatives from the Metropolis of Oltenia. The discussions focused on adopting modern communication tools and combating the spreading of fake news.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Emphasis on Responsibility in Communication<\/span><\/h3>\n

His Eminence Metropolitan Irineu highlighted the importance of responsibility in disseminating information and the media’s role in promoting the Metropolis’s spiritual and cultural activities<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

“<\/span>T<\/span>he words of our Savior Jesus Christ must be proclaimed<\/span> to the entire world. In the Old Testament, in the wisdom books, there is mention of wisdom <\/span>being proclaimed<\/span>. We proclaim the wisdom of the Holy Gospel,<\/span>“<\/span><\/em> said the Metropolitan.<\/span><\/p>\n

“T<\/span>oday, there is a demand for transmitting texts and information concisely and suggestively<\/span>\u00a0through compressed messages tailored for the Internet era.<\/span> People seek ideas, keywords, and precise terms. We focus on methods, not ideologies. We aim to connect with believers, especially the youth<\/span>.”<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

“I<\/span>n our current age, everything is compressed. We must provide condensed, impactful writings that are also comprehensive. We must forge a connection between the word and the person. Even in the virtual space, <\/span>God\u2019s<\/span> word must be present. There should be no space devoid of God,<\/span>“<\/span><\/em> His Eminence added.<\/span><\/p>\n

Commitment to Professionalism in Communication<\/span><\/h3>\n

The participants also discussed strategies for improving the effective dissemination of news and enhancing working methods.<\/span><\/p>\n

The meeting aimed to strengthen communication strategies and optimize the flow of information through closer collaboration between church media representatives.<\/span><\/p>\n
