At the beginning of December, Archdeacon Mihail Buc\u0103, founder of the Tronos Byzantine Choir, visited the Romanian Orthodox Parish in San Antonio, Texas, where His Eminence Metropolitan Nicolae of the Americas awarded him the Metropolitan Cross.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Archdeacon Buc\u0103, accompanied by members of the Tronos Choir, participated in the consecration of the newly built <\/span>church<\/span> in San Antonio, dedicated to Saints John Cassian and Andrew \u0218aguna. The historic event attracted guests <\/span>from around the world<\/span>, including hierarchs, clergy, and faithful believers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Honoring<\/span> Dedication to the Church<\/span><\/h3>\n

Following the consecration and the Divine Liturgy, Metropolitan Nicolae presented the Metropolitan Cross for Clergy to Fr. Valentin Dumitru Ilie\u0219, the parish priest, and the same distinction for Laity to Matushka Geanina Cristina Ilie\u0219 and Mrs. Adina Pasnicu. <\/span><\/p>\n

These awards recognized their unwavering faith, sacrifices, and dedication to the <\/span>Church<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Metropolitan Nicolae also awarded the Metropolitan Cross for Clergy to Fr. Gheorghe Militaru, Vicar of the Romanian Orthodox Diocese of Italy, and Archdeacon Mihail Buc\u0103, conductor of the Tronos Choir at the Patriarchal Cathedral in Bucharest. <\/span><\/p>\n

Both <\/span>were commended<\/a><\/span> for their tireless support, active involvement, and significant contributions to the spiritual growth of the Saint John Cassian and Saint Andrew \u0218aguna community in San Antonio.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pilgrimage Highlight: Iviron Icon of the Theotokos <\/span><\/h3>\n

The participants also had the unique opportunity to venerate<\/a> the\u00a0Hawaiian Myrrh-Streaming Iveron Icon of the Mother of God, which <\/span>was brought<\/span> to the community as part of a pilgrimage marking the <\/span>church\u2019s<\/span> consecration.<\/span><\/p>\n
