The “Holy Apostles” Parish in Zeebrugge, Belgium, signed an agreement on Monday to officially acquire the “Stella Maris” Church, where the parish community has prayed for over 11 years.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The agreement was signed at Bruges City Hall. The Department for Romanians Abroad<\/a> and additional donors provided financial support.<\/p>\n

Attending the event were Bishop Marc of Neam\u021b, Assistant Bishop to the Romanian Orthodox Archdiocese of Western Europe, Annelice \u0218erban, Consul from the Romanian Embassy in Belgium, and Joeri Beuren, Honorary Consul. Members of the parish association and local officials were also present.<\/p>\n

“With the help of the Lord and through the intercession of the Holy Apostles, the community of believers can rejoice in this blessed gift, which supports their spiritual life and strengthens numerous social, cultural, and educational projects carried out in the parish for over a decade,” representatives of the “Holy Apostles” Parish shared on social media.<\/p>\n

The “Stella Maris” Church<\/a> was built between 1952 and 1955 on the site of an old chapel in disrepair. It received the name “Stella Maris” or “Star of the Sea.”<\/p>\n
