Young people often postpone their weddings due to financial constraints. In this context, a priest from Boto\u0219ani in northern Romania has announced that his parish will assist young couples in organizing their weddings without significant economic burden.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“The Pacea Church in Boto\u0219ani offers free help to future brides and grooms who wish to start a family through the Holy Mystery of Marriage,” wrote Father Marian Macuc on his parochial community’s Facebook<\/a> page.<\/p>\n

The parish lends wedding dresses and groom’s suits to young couples for free and, where necessary, provides new wedding rings, decorated candles, and bridal bouquets as gifts.<\/p>\n

“Practically, they will receive everything they need for free to no longer postpone the Holy Mystery of Marriage and to start a family,” the priest explained.<\/p>\n

The parish wardrobe also has formal attire that can be lent to wedding guests.<\/p>\n

The parish priest and his wife, Ana Maria Macuc, handle the details.<\/p>\n

“To fully and beautifully do good deeds, we would be happy if other kind-hearted people joined us,” adds the priest.<\/p>\n

There is a need for a dry cleaner in Boto\u0219ani willing to clean formal attire for free, a hair salon to style the bride’s hair for free, a photographer or videographer to capture the ceremony, and other service providers who can bring joy to the young couples on their wedding day.<\/p>\n

“We already have several weddings organized and others scheduled for this summer, and we hope to make as many couples happy as possible,” said Father Mihai Marian Macuc.<\/p>\n

Despite Romania’s declining birth rate, the marriage rate remains high compared to other EU member states. According to recent statistics, Romania ranks second after Hungary in this indicator.<\/p>\n

The problem is that the age at first marriage has increased, following the trend across Europe, which delays the birth of the first child and makes the birth of a second child less likely, explained sociologist Vasile Ghe\u021b\u0103u on the Contributors.ro.<\/p>\n
