{"id":433905,"date":"2023-07-04T15:40:02","date_gmt":"2023-07-04T12:40:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/basilica.ro\/?p=433905"},"modified":"2023-07-04T16:08:23","modified_gmt":"2023-07-04T13:08:23","slug":"replica-of-kato-xenia-monastery-to-be-built-in-cluj-napoca","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/basilica.ro\/en\/replica-of-kato-xenia-monastery-to-be-built-in-cluj-napoca\/","title":{"rendered":"Replica of Kato Xenia Monastery to be built in Cluj-Napoca"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>His Eminence Metropolitan Andrei of Cluj, Maramures and Salaj blessed the foundation stone for a new church that will replicate the architectural style of the Greek Monastery of Kato Xenia where a part of the Holy Cincture (Holy Belt) of the Mother of God is kept.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Metropolitan of Cluj officiated the blessing service on the feast of the Nativity of St John the Forerunner, June 24, 2023.<\/p>\n<p>The new place of worship will be built in the Europa district of Cluj-Napoca in northwestern Romania and will be dedicated to the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist.<\/p>\n<p>Saint John the Baptist parish was established on October 1, 2013, to serve the &#8220;Europa&#8221; neighbourhood of Cluj-Napoca.
