On this occasion, several cultural events are organised under the title \u2018Bucharest&#8217;s Days\u2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bucharest&#8217;s first documentary attestation dates back to the 15th century (on September 20, 1459) and it is a document by which Prince Vlad the Impaler confirmed a donation made to some feudal lords.<\/p>\n<p>The chrysobull is kept at Bucharest Museum \u2013 \u0218u\u021bu Palace.<\/p>\n<p>In 1659, Bucharest became the capital of Wallachia during the reign of Prince Gheorghe Ghica.<\/p>\n<p>Several events have been organised under the name \u2018Bucharest&#8217;s Days\u2019 to highlight the history of Bucharest this week.<\/p>\n<p>For three days, water sports, workshops and cultural and other activities took place on Dambovita River&#8217;s stretch between Timpuri Noi and Mihai Bravu.<\/p>\n<p>The Museum of Bucharest organised free guided tours which included presentations of outstanding personalities and important moments of the old Bucharest. The museum also opened a photo exhibition entitled \u2018Years have passed 2022\u2019 (\u201eTrecut-au anii 2022\u201d).<\/p>\n<p>Saint Demetrius the New is considered the spiritual protector of the capital of Romania.
