On the feast of Theophany, His Eminence Archbishop Teodosie officiated the Great Blessing of Waters on the seafront at the Tomis Harbour, expressing his hope that we will get through this difficult period: \u201cMay we have joy all year long, and let us not be afraid of the future waves. With God, we are above the waves: God has overcome both the waves of the sea and the waves of sin.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWe hope even now that the milder disease will be overcome this time with prayer, faith, with the power of God, and with holy water,\u201d he said January 6, 2022.<\/p>\n

The feast day began with the celebration of the Divine Liturgy at the \u201cHoly Apostles Peter and Paul\u201d Cathedral in Constan\u021ba. After the Divine Liturgy, clerics and believers set off in procession to the seafront in Constan\u021ba, where the archbishop blessed the waters.<\/p>\n

The ceremony was attended by the Honorary Guard consisting of Naval Forces soldiers and Naval Forces Band.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe pastors will do our duty to urge the people and bring them to more faith. Where there is faith, there is light, there is life, and there is joy,\u201d the Archbishop of Tomis added.<\/p>\n

In the end, as part of the Epiphany ritual, His Eminence Archbishop Teodosie threw three crosses into the sea and rewarded those who retrieved them.<\/p>\n
