{"id":268340,"date":"2020-01-14T19:28:50","date_gmt":"2020-01-14T17:28:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/basilica.ro\/?p=268340"},"modified":"2020-01-14T19:29:25","modified_gmt":"2020-01-14T17:29:25","slug":"recently-discovered-star-carries-name-of-romanian-city","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/basilica.ro\/en\/recently-discovered-star-carries-name-of-romanian-city\/","title":{"rendered":"Recently discovered star carries name of Romanian city"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Astronomer Ciprian V\u00eentdevar\u0103, who works at the Vasile P\u00e2rvan Astronomic Observatory in B\u00e2rlad has discovered a Delta Scuti variable star, which now carries the name of the eastern Romania city.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The star, which has been named B\u00e2rlad V1, is found some 4,000 light-years from Earth, in the area of the Perseus constellation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The star was discovered in early November 2019, and is now in the data base of the\u00a0American Association of Variable Star Observers\u00a0(AAVSO).<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI have noticed that one of the stars is variable, and was not in the database of the AAVSO. It is a Delta Scuti star, and has a variation of 98 minutes from a minimum to a maximum,\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is not his first discovery.
