{"id":247841,"date":"2019-08-14T15:08:43","date_gmt":"2019-08-14T12:08:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/basilica.ro\/?p=247841"},"modified":"2019-08-14T15:08:43","modified_gmt":"2019-08-14T12:08:43","slug":"drama-metropolitan-consecrates-first-romanian-church-on-mount-athos-dedicated-to-st-paisios","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/basilica.ro\/en\/drama-metropolitan-consecrates-first-romanian-church-on-mount-athos-dedicated-to-st-paisios\/","title":{"rendered":"Drama Metropolitan consecrates first Romanian church on Mount Athos dedicated to St Paisios"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>His Eminence Metropolitan Pavlos of Drama consecrated a newly built church at the hut of the Annunciation at Lakkoskiti in honour of Saint Paisios of Mount Athos.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is the first church serving a Romanian community on the Holy Mount to be dedicated to St Paisios.<\/p>\n<p>The consecration ceremony took place on July 25, the feast day of St Paisios according to the unrevised Julian calendar.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Fabx0F9QRO4\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The church was also offered a second Patron Saint, the holy and righteous King <em>David<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The building of the church of St Paisios began in 2015, while the iconography in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The hut of the Annunciation is one of the most famous Romanian kalivia on Mount Athos.<\/p>\n<p>The V. Rev.
