In this faith, the Church was founded and built and no force was able to overpower it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the end the Metropolitan referred to the great importance of the event by saying that \u201cwhere a temple is founded, devil\u2019s power is expelled from there\u201d and thanked the donors in Greece who contributed to turn the need of the faithful of the city into reality.<\/p>\n<p>As a representative of the donors, Archimandrite Vasilios Giannakas of the Metropolis of Nea Smyrni said inter alia: \u201cThe foundation stone symbolizes Christ and our faith in Him. In this faith, the Church was founded and built and no force was able to overpower it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Holy Diocese of Katanga was established by Patriarchal and Synodal decree on 1st November 2006, at first as the Holy Diocese of Kolwezi, late changing its name on 9th October 2009 to Diocese of Katanga.
