Wednesday afternoon, 17 August 2016, a tornado storm occurred in Faget area of the Archdiocese of Timisoara which partially destroyed the roofs of several houses in Traian Vuia, Susani, Rachita, Cliciova and Jupani localities \u2013 mitropolia-banatului.ro informs. Besides the people\u2019s houses, the roofs of the churches in the respective parishes have also been damaged, and the church of Jupani village most damaged, where the dome of the place of worship was demolished.<\/p>\n

As a result of the intervention of the ISU Banat and of the Metropolitanate of Banat as well, the situation is stable for the time being. People were granted aids for urgently get the materials needed for repairing their houses. His Eminence Ioan and the local and county authorities are trying to find fast solutions so that those affected by storm may safely live in their houses.<\/p>\n

The Metropolitan of Banat appealed to all the priests of the eparchy to take measures so that all the churches and parochial houses should be insured and protected against such natural calamities.<\/p>\n
