Wednesday, 27 July 2016, His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, was at Techirghiol Monastery, on the occasion of the celebration day of Saint Panteleimon<\/em> treatment Basis within Saint Mary <\/em>social-pastoral Centre and of the chapel of the monastic settlement.<\/p>\n

His Beatitude delivered a sermon for the faithful present saying that we need prayer when the one wishes to be healed. We must also join medical treatment with the spiritual treatment of prayer.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Church does not separate medical science from the healing spiritual science. Today, there is a chapel in almost every hospital in Romania with one or several healing saints as patron saints. It means that the Church cooperates with the people who studied medicine in order to cure, to alleviate the sufferance of the sick. If the disease is incurable and cannot be healed the healing of the soul from sins is very useful. Not always, but rather often many of the physical diseases are the result of the soul\u2019s diseases. This is why we pray to have both the forgiving of sins and healing of our diseases. It is important to join medical treatment with spiritual treatment of prayer, of the Holy Unction, of Confession, of receiving more often the Holy Communion, because the Holy Eucharist is given for the remission of the sins and eternal life, for healing and salvation, the Patriarch of Romanian explained. <\/em><\/p>\n

At the end, His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel urged all the biological and spiritual parents to contribute even more to the growing up and education of their children in the merciful love of the Saviour for us, the humans.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Today, the life of Saint Panteleimon urges all the biological and spiritual parents to contribute even more to the growing up and education of their children in the faith and the merciful love of Christ for humans. The biological and spiritual parents have special call and responsibility to bring the children and young ones to Christ, the doctor of our souls and bodies, the source of eternal life, of eternal joy, the source of the gifts that make the human being like God through holiness and kindness, through mercy, and good deeds. \u201c<\/em>Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful<\/em>\u201d (Luke 6:36) says Jesus Christ, our Saviour, the Primate of the Romanian Orthodox Church also explained. <\/em><\/p>\n

From 2007-2009 it was modernised and endowed with latest generation medical equipment. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n
