The event is held at \u201cDumitru Staniloae\u201d National Centre of Continuous Formation of Bucharest. The theme of the 3rd edition is the \u201cActivity of the church painters\u201d.<\/p>\n<p> The Patriarch of Romania spoke about the \u201cByzantine iconography \u2013 normative frame for the present church painting\u201d.<\/p>\n<p> \u201cThe Byzantine iconography is in accordance with the Byzantine Orthodox Liturgy having been the liturgical pictorial vestment of the liturgical space in which the liturgy is celebrated. If the Orthodox liturgy is celebrated in a field and several architects are called to present a project for the architectural vestment of this liturgy, we shall reach the Byzantine style.
