On Monday, 13 April 2015, the second Easter day, the chapel of the Cathedral for the Nation\u2019s Salvation celebrated its main dedication day, namely the Resurrection of the Lord. On this occasion, His Grace Timotei Prahoveanul, Assistant Bishop to the Archdiocese of Bucharest participated in the feast, celebrating the Divine Liturgy, assisted by a group of priests and deacons. His Grace conveyed all the faithful present greetings on behalf of His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church.<\/p>\n
The hierarch delivered a sermon in which he spoke about the joy and importance of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, our Saviour: \u201cThe feast of the Resurrection of the Lord was called feast of the feasts and party of the parties. Saint John Chrysostom says that nobody must cry for sins at this feast of feasts, because the forgiveness came out of the grave for all people. May those who worked a lot, who worked less, who have watched from the first, ninth or eleventh hour, or who came just at the end rejoice! The main teaching of this feast is the love that we must offer other people, especially now, in a world in such a badly need of much love. If the world we live in is faced with a strong material crisis and with a spiritual one as well, the greatest issue of this world is the lack of love. The sons of the Church are called to offer love to other people. This is the commandment of the Saviour, when He said: \u201cBy this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another<\/em>\u201d. Let us keep and cultivate these gifts of the Resurrection and rejoice together with Christ, the Risen Saviour, so that one day we may also find the forgiveness and resurrection through Jesus Christ, our Lord\u201d, His Grace underlined. The chapel situated at the building yard of the Cathedral for the Nation\u2019s Salvation is dedicated to the \u201cResurrection of the Lord\u201d, \u201cIcon of the Mother of God \u2013 Prodromite\u201d, and to \u201cSaint John Chrysostom\u201d. The chapel is one of the kind in the country because it shelters the replica of the miracle worker icon of the Mother of God \u2013 Prodromite, brought from the Holy Mount Athos, blessed by His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, on 24 October 2011. <\/p>\n The chapel is open from 8.00 hours a.m. till late in the night, to meet the spiritual needs of the faithful.
