Orthodox photographers’ community OrthPhoto marks its 20th anniversary

OrthPhoto, an international organisation of Orthodox photographers, observed its 20th anniversary this month.

The OrthPhoto community was established amidst the descent of the Holy Fire in Jerusalem on April 10, 2004.

Over the past twenty years, the community has amassed a membership of over 120,000 individuals hailing from more than eighty countries. The gradual emergence of social networks has compelled the community to modify its content and operational strategies on occasion.

Subsequently, the community organised exhibitions and competitions in over seventeen countries and published fifteen photo albums.

The international community representatives expressed their gratitude to all users of the online platform in this manner.

“Today is also a great opportunity to thank the entire international team that has created and developed the website over the years and, above all, everyone who has posted photos, commented on and viewed them. Because all this together meant that we created something special and unique in the Orthodox world”.

OrthPhoto updates its social media platforms with archived images every three hours to mark the anniversary.
