Cambridge Institute for Orthodox Christian Studies marks 25th anniversary

On Sunday, June 9, the Institute for Orthodox Christian Studies (IOCS) in Cambridge celebrated its 25th anniversary since it officially registered as a company in the UK. Fr. Dragoș Herescu, a Romanian, currently serves as the educational institution’s director.

On this occasion, the Institute commissioned an anniversary icon of the Saviour Jesus Christ, which includes certain elements representative of the educational institution.

The anniversary events, planned since the beginning of the year, will commence on June 26 with a reception for IOCS donors at Westminster Abbey.

The next anniversary event, titled “Orthodox Day,” will take place on August 3 at the Southpark Cathedral in London and will be dedicated to promoting the Institute.

In the second half of the year, the Institute for Orthodox Christian Studies in Cambridge will organize a day dedicated to alumni and a fundraising concert.

The Institute for Orthodox Christian Studies in Cambridge was founded in 1999 and is a member of the Cambridge Theological Federation.
