Patriarch Daniel offered gifts to the children of the Social Centre “Patriarch Justinian Marina”

In anticipation of the feast of the Nativity of the Lord, His Beatitude Romanian Patriarch Daniel visited the children of the Patriarch Justinian Social Centre and offered them different gifts.

The children interpreted several Christmas carols and offered flowers to the Patriarch of Romania.

His Beatitude congratulated and blessed all those present: We congratulate you and we wish Happy Holidays to you and to all your dear ones, as well as to those who take care of you in this Centre, extremely important for the ministry of the Church. We wish you to spend the feast of the Nativity of the Lord joyfully and peacefully, and may you have a happy New Year, with much progress in the activity that you undertake, but also a benefit in this creativity that you have set out by your beautifully crafted figurines and painted images. You represent the angels that announce the Nativity of the Lord. Therefore we wish you all a Merry Christmas and many and blessed years to come!”

The children held a presentation of Christmas carols and poems in the attendance of His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel. They have also organized an exhibition of Christmas greeting cards and ornaments.

The Social Centre Patriarch Justinian Marina represents a program carried out by the Diaconia Association of the Romanian Patriarchate. It was founded in 1991 and provides specialized social services for disadvantaged and vulnerable people.

The Social Centre provides housing for the victims of domestic violence, but also after-school programs, private lessons and counselling for 40 children from vulnerable families.
