The Meeting of the Media Representatives of the Orthodox Eparchies of Romania Completes its Works

The Meeting of the mass media representatives of the Orthodox Eparchies of Romania with those of BASILICA Press Centre ended Friday, 4 March 2016, at Dumitru Staniloae Centre for continuous formation of Bucharest.

The special guest of the event was Laura Georgescu, president of the National Audiovisual Council of Romania.

Practical issues on drafting and transmitting the journalists’ materials were discussed during the meeting. The participants insisted on the way in which the message of the Church should be transmitted – Patriarchal Counsellor Vasile Bănescu, spokesman of the Romanian Patriarchate also said.

“Language is essential in communication – the more intelligible language is, the more clearly it transmits an idea, the more efficient is”, Mr Vasile Bănescu underlined also showing that “airing the language is necessary in the church space, as well as its updating and most of all using it adequately so as not to stifle the addressees of our message with terms they do not have access to”.
