Saint Paisius Velichkovsky celebrated at Neamţ Monastery

Neamţ Monastery celebrated Tuesday, 15 November 2016, one of its protector saints: Venerable Paisius (Velichkovsky) of Neamţ. On the feast day, at the Divine Liturgy held in the katholikon church Their Eminences Teofan, Metropolitan of Moldova and Bukovina, Ierotheos, Metropolitan of Nafpaktos and Hagios Vlasios, and Serafim, Romanian Orthodox Metropolitan of Germany, Central and Northern Europe, concelebrated.

In his homily, His Eminence Metropolitan Ierotheos pointed out that Saint Paisius Velichkovsky set the fundament of hesychast tradition and undertook a spiritual renewal in the Church.

At the end of the Divine Liturgy, Metropolitan Teofan referred to the local tradition to evoke great Orthodox shepherds on the feast of Saint Paisius Velichkovsky.
