The Rev. Professor answered questions like: What Orthodox thought means and how can God be known? What is the place of reason in the world of the truths of faith? How can one reconcile mind and limit-experience? Who are the thinkers who put spirituality and reflection together?

“Today’s conference was a reflection on the book I wrote as well as on the experience I acquired while working on it during the last three years. One of the observations I want to make is that there were lots of important thinkers during the last few centuries who deserved our attention and I refer especially to Father Dumitru Staniloae”, Rev. Prof. Andrew Louth said.

Father Andrew Louth is a contemporary theologian, professor emeritus, at present, of Durham University and of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, as well as titular member of the British Academy.
