The Romanian Orthodox Metropolitan Nicolae has sent a message in which he expresses his solidarity with the Santa Fe attack victims.
Ten people have been killed and 10 others injured after a student opened fire at a Texas high school on Friday.
Metropolitan Nicolae offers prayers for the souls of those who passed away saying that it is impossible to understand why these tragedies keep on repeating in the US, having innocent children and young people as victims:
The clergy and faithful of the Romanian Orthodox Metropolis of the Americas express their solidarity with the families of the Santa Fe attack victims.
It is impossible to understand why these tragedies are repeating in the US and why innocent children and young people fall victims.
We pray for the rest of the souls of those who departed in this tragic way and for their troubled families.
In these moments, we owe to pray Christ the Lord who ascended into heaven to enlighten us with his divine light, to send peace and comfort to the souls of those who suffer, to bring peace to those troubled and separated from his Grace!
