From 22 – 23 April 2013, Their Graces Bishops Dositei of the Serbs of Scandinavia and Great Britain and Macarie of Northern Europe organised meetings in Stockholm with theologians and intellectuals from Sweden on the role and place of the Church in the Scandinavian society. On this occasion the book by His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel “La Joie de la fidelité”, recently published in the Swedish language with the title: “Trons sanning och glädje” was launched, within a partnership between the Swedish publishing houses Artos and Anastasis of Stockholm.
“This publication is part of a larger project which values the Orthodox theology, works by theologians Vladimir Lossky and Alexander Schmemann having been previously translated. The book by His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel is received with great interest here, having been a proof of pastoral responsibility in the Scandinavian context so sensitive to the social mission of the Church”, declared His Grace Macarie for Trinitas Radio station.
Some other works by the great Orthodox theologians will be published in Swedish, among which The Dogmatic Theology by Rev. Dumitru Stăniloae.
