In pictures | Bp Macarie to the Romanians in Sweden: “We are a family of families”

Bishop Macarie of Northern Europe visited last weekend two Romanian parishes in the southern part of Sweden.

On Friday, the hierarch officiated the Sacrament of the Holy Unction at Helsingborg, and on Saturday he celebrated the Divine Liturgy in Lund.

“I feel great joy when I see the children that we have clothed with Christ,” the Romanian Bishop noted.

“We are a spiritual family, a family of families navigating the ocean of foreign lands. But in the Church we always feel at home” – which can be seen in the photos published by the Diocese of Northern Europe:

Locals are also interested in Orthodox life, even though polls say they are the least religious people.
