Priests, deans and diocesan advisers from the Metropolis of Bessarabia met Thursday with representatives of the Archdiocese of Iaşi. The meeting held on Jan. 26 aimed at strengthening the collaboration between the ministrants and faithful of the Romanian Orthodox Church on the two banks of Prut River, doxologia.ro reported.
Before the meeting, His Eminence Teofan, Metropolitan of Moldova and Bukovina, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at Saint Sava Church in Iaşi. His Eminence delivered a homily focusing on national and faith unity of Romanians.
Next, a communication session was held at St Nicholas College in Iaşi. Participants discussed twinning between parishes, book exchange and an exchange of pilgrimages. A final plan and a calendar for joint activities were drafted by the end of the meeting.
