Holy Synod approves new Statutes for the Organization of the Romanian Orthodox Church

The Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church met for a working session at the Synodal Hall of the Patriarchal Residence on December 16, 2019, to include in a final document all the amendments made by the Holy Synod between 2008-2019 to the Statutes for the Organization and Functioning of the Romanian Orthodox Church.

The meeting was chaired by His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel.

The document will be submitted to the State Secretariat for Religious Denominations for final approval and publication in the Official Gazette of Romania.

During the meeting, the Holy Synod expressed the care and concern of the Church for the support of the dioceses in the Romanian diaspora.
