His Grace Ieronim: „The Light of Faith Helps us Open our Souls to the Divine Grace”

On the 6th Sunday after Easter (5 June 2016), the Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the Patriarchal Cathedral in Bucharest by His Grace Ieronim, Assistant Bishop to the Patriarch.

The hierarch said in his speech that Jesus Christ, our Saviour, gives us the light of knowledge. This light which comes out form the Holy Gospels teaches us the truths that we must appreciate and the evil that we must avoid.

The hierarch said in his speech that Jesus Christ, our Saviour, gives us the truths that we must appreciate and cherish and the evil that we must avoid.

“This light of the soul which comes from Jesus Christ, our Saviour, is the light of the faith that the blind born man received as certitude when he saw Christ with the eyes of his body too and when he confessed this and prayed to Christ, our Lord. The light of faith is the one which helps us open our souls to the divine grace so that it may enter into our souls, bring us the deifying work of God which can change whatever is not good in our being”, the Assistant Bishop to the Patriarch explained.

The liturgical answers were given by Nicolae Lungu choir of the Romanian Patriarchate.
