Diocese of Deva Donated Medical Equipment to County Emergency Hospital in Deva

Tuesday, 31 May 2016, His Grace Gurie, Bishop of Deva and Hunedoara celebrated the blessing service of the Anaesthesia and Intensive Therapy section of the County Emergency Hospital in Deva. On this occasion, a new anaesthesia apparatus of latest generation donated by the Diocese of Deva and Hunedoara was inaugurated to be used within this section for the benefit of the patients who may need it.

The donation is part of the permanent concern of the Diocese of Deva and Hunedoara to support the sanitary units within the eparchy, continuing the social charitable initiatives unfolded in the paediatrics and orthopaedic sections of the County Emergency Hospital in Deva.

On this occasion, His Grace Gurie delivered a sermon in which he spoke about the important cooperation among the institutions focused on looking after patients and the Church, with the medical act as gesture of the great love for one’s neighbour by which the medical staff do their outmost for the good health and rehabilitation of the sick. His Grace has also thanked the leadership and medical staff of the County Emergency Hospital in Deva for the good collaboration with the Diocese of Deva and Hunedoara, hoping to implement more programmes for the benefit and rehabilitation of those in distress.
