The winners of the “Colours of Orthodoxy. Finland” photo contest were announced at the end of October.
The jury assembled online to evaluate the 880 photos sent by more than 100 participants from ten countries. Of these, 20 photos were selected for each category. the winning ones were selected.
To decide the Grand Prize winner, the jury evaluated the quality of individual photographic submissions as well as the overall body of work submitted through the categories of the competition.
This year, Andrzej Parafiniuk, Honorable Consul of Finland in Białystok, Poland, offered an additional prize for the most emotional photo.
The jury members were very pleased with the quality of the presented photographs. Approximately 100 of the most interesting photos will be included in an exhibition and the winning ones will be published in a photo album.

Churches category
The First Prize in the Churches category and the Special prize for the most emotional photo, offered by the Honorable Consul of Finland in Białystok, went to Vesa Takala from Kovero, Finland (above).

The contest was organized by the Orthodox photography portal OrthPhoto.net in partnership with the Orthodox Church of Finland and The Publishing Department of Polish Orthodox Church.
