His Grace Bishop Ignatie of Huși has congratulated the Basilica News Agency’s team on their 10th anniversary of online ministry, reflecting on the meaning of the word Basilica.
The Basilica News Agency of the Romanian Patriarchate began its online ministry on 16 June 2008, when the first Orthodox newswire in Romania was launched.

The Basilica News Agency is the ‘temple’ of constant and discrete cultivation of beauty and good in a world attracted by ugly and evil; it is the ‘temple’ of deepening the act of faith in a world that renounces the joy of transcendence, and the ‘temple’ of retrieving communication as a gentle form of communion in a world of egolatry.
Therefore, the Basilica News Agency symbolises beauty, good, faith, communication, and communion.
